The food was delicious and the gluten free options available were also delicious. Service was attentive and good. We had a very enjoyable, all the family pre Christmas meal.

Family Sunday lunch. We'll priced for food, cosy country pub atmosphere. Perfectly cooked fresh vegetables. Slight negatives - roast potatoes not crisp & beef not pink (altho this is my own preference). Staff friendly, helpful. Would revisit as had an enjoyable experience in the main.

Oh, how I wish all pubs were like this. All was excellent from the moment we walked in (late). The service was superb throughout, with smiling, helpful and knowledgeable staff. We were served at a good pace, neither rushed nor waiting overlong, and nothing we asked for was too much trouble. And then, of course, there is the food. This was roast at its best, everything cooked well and a lovely variety of vegetables. I know of many other pubs that would benefit from coming to visit the Griffin and learn how to run a pub restaurant. The desserts were equally as good. This was an excellent value meal and for us, a great find. We will be back soon - only this time we will endeavour to arrive on time. A heartfelt thank you all round.

5 of us lunched on October 28th. and had a really good time. We had the senior citizens' menu - excellent value at £12.95 for 3 courses. Food lovely, well presented, helpful staff and pleasant surroundings. 5 stars for the chips! Will definitely return.

We visited for lunch and the food dishes we had ranged from very poor to mediocre. My wife’s parmesan and pea risotto resembled a thick & stodgy porridge and was inedible. To make matters worse, the young man who was serving us had a really bad attitude when I checked to make sure we weren’t being charged for the risotto. Will not be returning.

A typical English pub nestled in the beautiful Northamptonshire countryside. A select daily menu with a well priced senior citizens 3 course choice but lots of specials on the boards. Food was decent and the vegetables were freshly cooked and crunchy. Service was passable. Tied it once and ticked a box but I will provably venture elsewhere next time.
Vegetarian options: Lots of veggie and vegan options.
Parking: Barely any parking.
Kid-friendliness: Kid and dog friendly.
Wheelchair accessibility: Not wheelchair accessible.

Decided to go out for a decent Sunday roast for a change and chose the Griffin. Never been before. Staff very friendly and informative of menu, what was available and alternatives. Seated in restaurant area. I had the roast beef, partner had lamb. Generous portions, plenty of veg in seperate dishes. I did struggle to eat all of mine, what I didn't eat he did. Still had a pudding, couldn't resist. very nice, polite staff, good service, no complaints. Don't know why we haven't been before.

We went here for some much needed sustenance after a heavy night prior lol and they were really friendly and accommodating, and the food was delish! Would recommend- although be mindful of the pretty small car park! And they can't deviate from the sunday menu
